    Paula Petry, PhD

Paula Petry, PhD is an author, presenter, and healing arts practitioner whose life has been shaped and transformed by both her daughter Alexandra’s birth with a severe disability and her death. In lieu of accepting the fate prescribed by physicians, she chose to pave a new path for not only her daughter, but for herself and many others.  Paula formed what is now one of the leading parent advocacy organizations in the country, and brought her passion for family-centered care services to her 12-year faculty position at the University of Miami, School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics.

A spiritual awakening in 2007 led her into her extensive studies of energy medicine, sound healing, mindfulness, and somatic therapies. She finds purpose and meaning in helping others understand their innate power to transform their own lives and the lives of others. She does this through retreats, workshops, and private consultations. She specializes in grief and loss and other types of trauma. Paula currently lives in Cooperstown, New York and is one of the owners of the Light of Heart Sanctuary in Sharon Springs, NY.

    Lisa Brown, M.A.

Born and raised in New York City, Lisa grew up as the ultimate "tom boy," participating in sports as a child, competitively power lifting in high school and college, and dabbling in various forms of martial arts, which ultimately led to a severe back injury. After turning to yoga for physical rehabilitation, as well as implementing dietary and lifestyle changes, Lisa experienced deep healing on all levels of being.

Her quest for knowledge, passion for healthy living, and deep desire to be of service to others led her to obtain a Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology early in life and to later pursue advanced training in various fields. Having experienced profound transformation after adopting a holistic approach to wellness, Lisa proceeded to become a certified Kripalu & Kundalini Yoga and Meditation Teacher, a Plant-based Chef, and an INN Health Coach. She has since dedicated her life to helping people achieve a greater level of happiness and health.

In addition to enthusiastically sharing her insights, knowledge, and wisdom through the teaching of group classes and public workshops, Lisa also works with clients privately to help them achieve their personal wellness and lifestyle goals.
